Lyme Bay Auctions: Auction Services and Estate Management

Lyme Bay Auctions is a family-run, independent auction house and estate management specialist located in Seaton, East Devon. With more than 40 years of industry experience, the firm serves clients across Devon, Dorset, and Somerset. The company operates as a traditional saleroom integrated with modern digital technology, hosting both live and continuous online auctions through the Auctionet platform. This digital integration allows for secure bidding and global reach while maintaining a local presence on the Jurassic Coast for physical inspections and consignments.

The business specializes in a diverse range of categories, including antique and modern jewellery, silver, gold, coins, and collectables. Their expertise extends to fine arts such as paintings, ceramics, and oriental works of art, as well as niche markets like medals, militaria, automobilia, mid-century design, books, maps, and manuscripts. Sellers can access professional support through free valuations at the Seaton salerooms, scheduled regional valuation days, or via home visits for larger collections and estates.

In addition to auctioneering, Lyme Bay Auctions provides comprehensive house clearance and estate management services. These professional offerings are tailored for private clients, executors, and solicitors, covering probate valuations, downsizing support, and property preparation. The team handles full or partial clearances, identifying valuable items for auction while managing the ethical recycling or donation of remaining household contents. Their structured approach ensures that property disposal is managed with professional oversight from initial valuation through to the final sale.
